Annabelle (Lloyd) Claude-Nelson, age 94, of Wells, MN, died Monday, November 26, 2012, at Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton, MN. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Blue Earth, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Pastor Dennis Seiler will officiate and interment will be in Rice Lake Cemetery in rural Delavan Township, Faribault County, MN. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Annabelle was born May 19, 1918, in Ledyard, Iowa, to Mandus and Anna (Dillon) Lloyd. She was united in marriage to Marvin Claude in September of 1939 and lived on a farm in the Delavan area until they moved into Wells, Minnesota. To this union three sons were born: Larry, Kenneth, and Danny Claude. Annabelle's first husband Marvin died on February 5, 1985. Then on October 26, 1991, she was united in marriage to Pastor Marvin Nelson of Pine City, Minnesota. Her interests through life included her family, church, crafts, and flowers. She also taught ceramics for 15 years.
Annabelle is survived by her husband, Marvin Nelson of Wells; one son, Kenneth (Cherie) Claude of Delavan; two daughters-in-law, Sharon Claude of Rochester and Gayle Claude of Mapleton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one step-son, Bruce Nelson of Pine City; and one sister, Nola (Bob Berg) Claude-Brayton of Chaska; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Marvin Claude; two sons, Larry and Danny Claude; daughter-in-law, Norita; brother Merlin; and step-daughter Bette Root.
