Judy Diane Spence, age 70, of North Mankato, died peacefully surrounded by her family at her home on Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2012, at Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Dr. Scott E. Olson officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park in Mankato. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Thursday (TODAY) at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Judy was born on December 13, 1942, in Mankato to Willard and Emma (Schwarting) Wilson. She was a 1960 graduate of Mankato High School. Judy was united in marriage to Ken Spence on October 20, 1962, in Mankato. She was employed with PerfecSeal for nearly 30 years and retired in 2005. Judy was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed her cats, working on puzzles, fishing, baking and cooking, flower gardening, and was an avid Twins and Vikings fan. Her greatest joy in life was time spent with her grandchildren and attending their programs and sporting events.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Ken of North Mankato; daughter, Kristi Makela of Mankato; two sons, Jeff (Marcie) Spence of North Mankato and Ron (Cinnamon) Spence of Butternut; six grandchildren, Lizzy, Jessie, Lauren, Gabby, Izzy, and Willard.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
