Waldo ‘Tiny’ W. Karnitz
Waldo “Tiny” W. Karnitz, age 68, of Belle Plaine, died Thursday, July 30, at the Belle Plaine Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine with Rev. John Meyer, officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue the morning of the service at the church. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Belle Plaine.
He was born on December 12, 1940, in Norwood, MN, to Wilmer & Malinda (Ische) Karnitz. He moved to Belle Plaine with his family when he was 7, where he attended Trinity Lutheran School and Martin Luther High School in New Ulm, MN. Tiny began work at the Belle Plaine Coop in 1957, where he worked for over 40 years.
Tiny is survived by his two sisters; Karen Bigaouette of Belle Plaine, MN, Susan Karnitz of Arlington, MN; brother-in-law Eugene (Cynthia) Nowak of Belle Plaine.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Diann.
