Ethel Korn

WELLS — Ethel E. Korn, age 83, of Wells, MN, died Monday, February 22, 2010, at Pathstone Living in Mankato, MN.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24, 2010, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Pastor Meg Sander will officiate and burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ethel was born April 10, 1926, the daughter of Arthur and Elizabeth (Huper) Gerber. On August 28, 1946, she married Luvern A. Korn in Walters, MN. She was a lifelong resident of the Wells/Walters area, where she was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Ethel was well known for her baking. She made wedding cakes, and cakes for all occasions for many of her friends and relatives. She dearly loved her children and her grandchildren.

Ethel is survived by 5 children: Alice (Richard) Their of Rushmore, MN, Ray (Rhonda) Korn of Wells, Irene (Lonnie) Dylla of North Mankato, MN, Ron (Marlys) Korn of Wells and Tim (Christine) Korn of North Mankato; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Luvern in 1995.
