Irene was born June 5, 1923, in Mankato, MN to Oscar and Emma Miller. She graduated from Canby High School and lived in Mankato for most of her life with brief periods in Rapidan, MN, Porter, MN and Seattle, WA, where she worked at Boeing Aircraft and the Port of Embarkation during World War II. Prior to retiring in 1994, she worked at Kato Engineering for 15 years.

Irene was ambitious, hard-working, artistic and a great cook. She enjoyed country music, senior dances, coffee in the morning on her patio by her flowers, and feeding the mourning doves. Far and away her favorite times were spent with her children and grandchildren — she was a devoted mother who loved to laugh and be with family. She had tremendous impact on those who knew her, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Revier, and her husband, Frank Thompson, of Alexandria, VA; three sons, Steve Revier of Ramsey, MN, Ron Revier and his wife, Deb, of Wayzata, MN, and Larry Revier and his wife, Kari, of Ramsey, MN; 3 grandchildren, Lindsey Wallace, Frank Thompson IV (Daven), Mandie Sheppard; one brother, Russell Miller of North Mankato, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and 4 brothers.
