Norma Jean Hoeft, 75, of Sandstone, MN, passed away peacefully at Abbott Northwestern hospital on August 5, 2009.
She was born to Harry & Ella Egdorf in Archer, Iowa. Norma grew up in Jeffers, MN, with two brothers and four sisters. She married Wendell Hoeft on June 10, 1956. The couple raised three children in Eagle Lake, MN. Wendell was in the construction business and Norma was a homemaker. They retired to Sandstone, MN, in 1995 to be closer to their children. Norma was a great cook and baker. No one ever left the table hungry. She enjoyed puzzles, bingo and Wheel of Fortune.
Norma was preceded in death by her partner of 53 years, Wendell Hoeft; daughter, Susan Bisping; brother, Richard Egdorf; and sisters, Joyce Bolson and Joanne Truax.
She is survived by her son, Gary (Karen) Hoeft of Two Harbors; daughter, Brenda (Scott) Hustad of St. Louis Park; son-in-law, Mark Bisping of Rochester; granddaughters, Carol Ann Bisping, Erin Hoeft, Grace Hoeft and Vivian Hustad; great-granddaughters, Susan Dut and Marley Dut; sisters, Lorena Evarts and Milly (Russ) Bergman; and brother, Ron (Diane) Egdorf.
A memorial service will be held for the immediate family members. Washburn-McReavy in Edina is in charge of arrangements.
