Glen Richard Pfeffer, 64, of Mankato died Friday, September 18, 2009 in the comfort of his home after battling cancer.
Visitation will be held at Woodland Hills Funeral Home, 1605 Woodland Ave. from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday September 21st. The Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22nd, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 632 S Broad St. with visitation one hour before.
Glen was born in Mankato on January 8, 1945, to Glen and Dorothy (Buss) Pfeffer. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1964. He married Donna Trouth, they later divorced. Glen proudly served in the US Army active duty and then continued in the Reserves with the Special Forces. He attended Mankato State University and graduated with a BS in accounting which lead to his 30 year career with the IRS. He retired in January 2005. Glen was united in marriage to Susan Wagner on April 4, 1981.
Glen loved his Harley Davidson motorcycle and his annual trips to Sturgis. He also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting and fishing. He loved to travel and made many trips to Alaska. Glen was an avid history buff and enjoyed sharing that with his children and grandchildren. Glen was a proud participating member of A.A. in Mankato for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Mankato Chapter Dry Ryders and rode with the Patriot Guards.
He is survived by his wife Susan of Mankato: four children, Joshua (Sarah) Pfeffer of St. Clair, Katie (Ryan) Sonnek of Easton, John (Tabitha) Pfeffer of Mankato and Brian Pfeffer of Fort Lewis, WA; and four grandchildren, Emma, Garrison, Aiden and Tegan. His mother Dorothy Pfeffer of Mankato, Sister-in-law Sandy (Monty) Burkhart of Anchorage, AK, brother-in-law David Radtke of Minnesota Lake and several nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his father Glen Percy, and his sister Marilyn Radtke.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W.
