Memorial services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato with Rev. Al Girtz, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Woodland Hills Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Charmaine was born August 24, 1942 in Douglas County, MN to Eddie and Evelyn (Benson) Gylsen. She was baptized and confirmed at Oscar Lake Lutheran Church. She graduated from Kensington High School. Charmaine currently owned and operated the Great Escape Bar & Grill in Minnesota Lake. In her leisure time she enjoyed traveling, sports, flower gardening and spending time with her friends.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald; 1 son, Stephen Cain of Denver, CO; granddaughter, Sheyna Cain of Denver, CO; 6 sisters, ReLou (Harland) Schwichtenberg of Waterville, MN, Ardelle (Don) Bowden of Battle Creek, MI, Earlene (Phillip) Brosh of Glenwood, MN, Marvyl (Gerald) Sullivan of Andover, MN, Vernelle Gylsen of Beaverton, OR, Darnelle Kasdorf of Battle Creek, MI; aunt Ilene Hjelm of Alexandria, MN; numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
