June Harriet Weber, 86, of Mankato died, Friday, October 3, 2008 at Immanuel-St. Joseph’s Hospital, Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Grace Lutheran Church, Mankato. Burial will be in Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Tuesday at church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
June was born June 29, 1922, in Mankato to Andrew E. and Julia June (Thayer) Berg. She was united in marriage to Melvin Weber on November 25, 1943, in North Mankato. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. June loved to cook and bake. She wrote short stories for “Write On” in the Mankato Free Press.
June is survived by her children, Kenneth Weber of Mankato, Joanne Weber of St. Paul, and Brian (Sandy) Weber of Mankato; grandson, Paul Weber of Mankato; sister, Helen (Dale) Yahnke of Lake Crystal; three sisters-in-law, Katherine Weber of Mankato, Phyllis (Ed) Gilman of Lake Crystal, Ruth (Ed) Tiller of Bonne, IA; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mel; two sisters, Marion Newstrand and Ethyl Johnson.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
