Paul Robert Liebhard

Paul Robert Liebhard, 65, of Le Center, died Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Queen of Peace Hospital in New Prague. Visitation will be held at Le Center Funeral Home on Thursday, April 30 from 4:00–7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Le Center on Friday, May 1, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan.

Born June 11, 1943 to Paul H. and Frances (Ehlers) Liebhard in Scott Field, IL. He attended Le Center (McKinley) High School, graduating in 1961. He worked at Spors Co., Brinktons, ADC and Onan before retiring in 1999. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. He married Pauline Gibson on Oct. 14, 1967, in Le Sueur, MN. They have resided in Le Center since then.

Paul enjoyed collecting soda fountain items, attending flea markets and garage sales. He also enjoyed doing yard work and remodeling the house. The joke was that he could talk to a rock because he enjoyed talking to people.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline, son, Aaron (Michelle) and granddaughter, Emilynn, all of Le Center; siblings, Lisbeth (Bob) Janovsky of Montgomery, Steve (Gerri) Liebhard of Sheboygan, WI, Kay (Pat) Holtz of White Water, WI, and John Liebhard of Le Center.

Preceded in death by his parents.
