Ann Mary Mendenhall, age 90, of Vernon Center, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at Oaklawn Health Care Center, Mankato.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 29, 2009, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Vernon Center with Rev. Brian Sutton officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held TODAY, from 4-6 p.m., Sunday at Lake Crystal Mortuary with a 3:30 p.m., rosary service. Visitation will continue one hour before service on Monday. Memorials may be given to St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.
Ann was born August 6, 1918 to Alois and Matilda (Kateman) Noy in rural Garden City, MN. She attended Garden City Public School. She was united in marriage to Gordon Floyd Mendenhall on November 28, 1939, in St. Mathew’s Catholic Church in Vernon Center. She was active with the ladies circle at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed visiting family and friends on her many trips which included Canada, Australia, Germany, and Holland where she visited her former exchange student, Loes. Ann enjoyed sewing and was a creative seamstress.
Ann is survived by her son, Alan (Donna) Mendenhall of Freeborn and their children, Michael Mendenhall (special friend, Stacey), David Mendenhall (special friend, Corrie), Daniel (Brooke) Mendenhall; son, Lee (Gerri) Mendenhall of New Richland and their children, Becky (Dennis) Hendrickson, Brenda (Leon) Larock, and Brian Mendenhall; son, Tom (Sharon) Mendenhall of Ramsey; daughter, Jean Teaser of Apple Valley and her children, Scott (Jennifer) Teaser, Rob (Angie) Teaser, and Stephanie Teaser; daughter, Joan (Tom) Tallman of Amboy and their children, Lori (Jeremy) Caye, Abigail Tallman, Stacy (fiancé, Collin Strobush) Tallman, Bethany Tallman; fifteen great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Shirley) Noy of Vernon Center; sister, Mary Ann (Harold) Tonn of Winnebago; brother-in-law, Maurice Crowley of Madelia; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; sister, Aggie Crowley.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
