Arlene J. Lahs, 78, of Mankato, died Friday, October 9, 2009 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 12, 2009 at Lakewood Cemetery in Albert Lea. Visitation will be 4-5 p.m. on Sunday (TODAY) at Mankato Mortuary.
Arlene was born on February 21, 1931, in Wallingford, IA. She was the daughter of Melvin and Olivia (Stuelan) Mickelson. Arlene attended school in Fairmont. She was united in marriage to William Lahs II on August 12, 1951, in Estherville, IA. Arlene was a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and watching sports, especially the MN Twins and Vikings.
Arlene is survived by her two sons, Michael (Donna) Lahs and Patrick Lahs; four grandchildren, Kiel Lahs, Amy Lahs and her fiancé, Freddi Valle, Amber Lahs and her fiancé, David Jennings, and Nicholas Lahs and his fiancé, Jessica Ehrler; two great-grandchildren, Landon and Alexander Lahs; one brother, Donald Mickelson and his special friend, Jackie; sister-in-law, Chris Mickelson; nephew, Larry (Mary) Lahs; niece, Molly Mickelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Lahs II; son, William Lahs III; brother, Robert Mickelson.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
