Eagle Lake resident, Edward “Ned” Schull, 77, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009 at Woodland Hills Chapel in Mankato. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Woodland Hills Funeral Home in Mankato.
Ned was born September 4, 1932, in Mankato, MN, to Edward and Mabel (Bachmann) Schull. He grew up and attended school in St. Clair. On October 24, 1953, he married Rhoda Leifermann at SS.. Peter & Paul’s Catholic Church in Mankato. He worked for Kato Engineering for 20 years, and then was a self-employed truck driver. Ned enjoyed woodworking, hunting and ceramics, but especially loved spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Rhoda; children, Susan Schull of West St. Paul, MN, Michael Schull and his wife, Wanda of Spicer, MN, Brian Schull of Tennessee, William Schull of Kentucky, Cynthia Townsend and her husband, Rondle of Hudson, WI, Tammy Ihnken and her husband, Kory of Huxley, IA; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Schull of Ohio; sister, Nadine Shaw of Mankato.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Anthony; 1 sister, Mary Ann Nelson; 1 brother-in-law, Duane Shaw.
