Lowell Burgess, age 75, of Mankato died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at his home at Harry Meyering Center in Mankato.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at Landkamer Johnson-Boman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Eagle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Harry Meyering Center Activity Fund.
Lowell was born May 19, 1934, to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Burgess in Mankato. He was an employee for MRCI in 1988 until he retired in 2001. Lowell enjoyed his retirement years by sitting in the summer breezes, spending time with his friend, Patty, and being involved in the community.
Lowell is survived by his three nephews and many friends from the Harry Meyering Center and MRCI.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Milton Burgess.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
