John H. Hiller, age 64, of Good Thunder, died on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Immanuel St. Joseph’s Hospital.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 23 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Good Thunder. Mankato Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
John was born on October 17, 1945 in Mankato to Eric and Ruth (Hensel) Hiller. He graduated from Good Thunder High School in 1963. John entered the United States Navy in April 1967 and was honorably discharged in November 1968. He enjoyed time with family, living on the family farm, and hunting. John was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church.
John is survived by his daughter Pam (Brian) Schoneck; three grandsons, Scott, Kyle, and Paul Schoneck; three sisters, Sharon (Duane) Ose, Carmen (Richard) Williams, and Rhonda (Phil) Fjeldberg; one nephew; four nieces; three great-nephews; and many supportive friends and caregivers. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
