Kathleen A. Fogarty, age 85, of Belle Plaine died on November 18, 2009, at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, November 23 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine. A family rosary will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the visitation will follow on Sunday, November 22 from 2:00-7:00 PM at the Kolden Funeral Home in Belle Plaine and continue Monday from 8:00-10:15 a.m. at the funeral home before processing to church. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Belle Plaine.
Kathleen was born on August 16, 1924, to Timothy and Alice (Halloran) Burns at home in St. Thomas, Minnesota. She married Dr. John Edward Fogarty on September 11, 1948 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in St. Thomas, Minnesota.
She is survived by her children, Mary (Bruce) Phillips of Cold Springs, Noreen Sanchez of Plano, TX, John Jr. (Rosmery Castillo Serrano) Fogarty of David, Panama, Tim (Mary Fritz) Fogarty of Henderson, Kathleen (Lynn) Thomason of Belle Plaine, Mark Fogarty of Belle Plaine, Rita Kornder of Shakopee, Elizabeth “Lisa” (Nathan Hanson) Jaspers of Chaska, Robert (Sarah) Fogarty of Belle Plaine, Edward (Suzanne) Fogarty of Chaska, and Emmett (Karen) Fogarty of Belle Plaine; 32 grandchildren, Elizabeth and Michael Phillips, Patrick, Chad and Anthony Sanchez, Jessica Munson, Jack Hart, Shannon Meyer, James, John and Katie Thomason, Dan, Jennifer, Jerry and Matthew Kornder, Allison and Joseph Jaspers, Dillon, Rachel, Gabriel, Andrew and Julia Fogarty, Alec, Morgan and Grace Fogarty, Ashley, Conner and Aiden Fogarty, Courtney, Jack, Luke and Emily Fogarty; 5 great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Aiden, McKenzie, Andrew, and Khadra; siblings, Edward (Eileen) Burns, Madelyn Wolff, Jack (Vangie) Burns, and Mary Grace O’Brien; sister-in-law, Rosemary Burns.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, Andy Fogarty; siblings, Mildred Graham, Alice Hoehn and Tim Burns.

Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W.
