Bertha C. Loeffler, 97, of North Mankato, died Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Oak Terrace Assisted Living.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Woodland Hills Funeral Chapel in Mankato. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at Woodland Hills. Interment will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park.
Bertha was born November 12, 1912, in Minnesota Lake, MN, to Fred and Anna (Wille) Drager. She grew up and attended school in Minnesota Lake. On September 9, 1939, Bertha was united in marriage to George Loeffler in Iowa. She worked in quality control at Continental Can Company until her retirement. In her leisure time Bertha enjoyed flea markets, card-playing with friends, visiting casinos, bingo, and crocheting afghans for friends and family. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Bertha is survived by her daughter, Connie Thamert and her husband, John Rohanna of Rochester; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; sister, Erna Wasinger of Mankato.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George in 1978; and son, Alan in 1966.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
