Dolejs, Francis (Fritz), 72, of Apple Valley, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home on December 4th, 2009. Fritz cherished his family and friends, his Catholic faith and his Czech heritage. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia A. (Burns) Dolejs, and all those he loved.
Waiting to welcome Fritz into heaven are his parents, Frank & Lillian Dolejs, his brothers Vernon and Donald, his son, Michael, his grandson, Robert Allen, and his father-in-law, Robert Burns.
Fritz is survived by his children: Kyle, Shannon (Tom) Allen, MaryBeth Poole, Sarah, and Tina (Dan) Ruzicka, and his beloved grandchildren Patty, David, Megan, Ryan, Matt, Eric, and Michaela.
Fritz was born on a farm in Montgomery, MN on July 22, 1937. He attended Montgomery High School, and went on to attend St. John’s University, where he participated in ROTC. He married Pat in 1958 and began working in the family business, Mobil Oil Company, in Montgomery. Fritz was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Adult Choir at The Church of the Most Holy Redeemer. Fritz enjoyed golfing, fishing, card games, and travel. He loved spending time with friends, whether at the cabin, in Arizona, camping, or vacationing. He was loved and will be missed by many. Fritz was a very well respected and successful businessman. Red Lion Liquors in Burnsville, Red Lion in Montgomery, Northbound Municipal in Elk River, Shamrock Liquors in Cottage Grove, Shenanigan’s Pub in Rosemount, and Shenanigan’s Fine Wine and Spirits, also in Rosemount, were all successful under his ownership or management. He was on the board for the Minnesota Municipal Licensed Beverage Association, and active in the MLBA. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the medical staff at Mayo and the Hospice caregivers at HealthEast for their loving care and support during Fritz’s fight against cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am Wednesday at Holy Redeemer, Montgomery. Visitation Tuesday 2-8 at Schoenbauer Funeral Home, Montgomery. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Montgomery.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
