Lois E. Roberts

Lois (Evans) Roberts, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother, passed away on December 9, 2009 at Crystal Seasons in Lake Crystal.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Spring at the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Crystal. Burial will be in Jerusalem Cemetery, Judson Township, Blue Earth County.

Lois was born June 29, 1913 in Butternut Township, and lived in or near Lake Crystal most of her life, where she and her husband spent many years farming. Being the eldest child of David Charles Evans and Florence Emma (Little) Evans, she prided herself as the family historian, and had a vast collection of childhood memories to share with both family and friends.

She was a proud and grateful member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Crystal. Her greatest joys in life revolved around her home and taking care of her family. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends, and regularly presented them with her handiwork-crocheted baby blankets, afghans, doilies, and kitchen towels.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Rasmussen of Billings, MT, Nancy (Orville) Klinkner of Lake Crystal, Donna Westphal of Roseville; son, Neil Roberts of Worthington; over 60 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sue Schwab; and many nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd in 1991; children, Wayne Roberts, Kay Gilker, Joane Roberts, and Larry Roberts; brothers, Ronald Evans, David Evans, and Harvard Evans.
