Lois Gersch, 72, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Friday, December 11, 2009 at New Ulm Medical Center.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home-Sleepy Eye, MN on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at Zion Lutheran Church-Hanska, MN, on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church - Hanska, MN on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at 10:30 a.m.
The Clergy will be Pastor Mary Suomala-Folkerds
Interment Linden Lutheran Cemetery-Madelia, MN.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Lois Mae Brinkman was born on May 11, 1937, at St. James, MN, to Oscar and Emma (Walkinhorse) Gersch. She received her education at St. James public schools. On September 2, 1956 Lois was united in marriage to Eugene Frank Gersch. They made their home in the Lewisville and Madelia area and were blessed with four children. Lois and Eugene were divorced in 1990. Lois worked at Tony Downs Foods for 37 years before retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and Word Search, bird watching and watching wrestling and detective shows on TV. Lois loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. In September 2009, Lois entered the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Eugene Gersch on January 7, 2008.
She is survived by her four children, Roger (Joyce) Gersch of Mankato, Bruce (Susan) Gersch of Mankato, Scott Gersch of Madelia and Dawn (David) Vee of Hanska; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Roseline Zenk of St. James and Angeline (Willard) Stradtman of St. James; many other relatives and friends.

Margaret C. Buck, known to many as “Mardy”, died peacefully on February 18, 2010, at age 87 due to complications of dementia. Mardy had been a resident at Sunrise Cottage of Mankato for the past 18 months. She was predeceased by her parents, the Reverend Harry W. Buck and Anna Mayer Buck, her sister Lucy Buck Lehman, her brother-in-law Ken Lehman, and her devoted friend, Dr. Jane Ann Roberts.
