Sioux Falls stops win streak for MSU women

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Ali Wilkinson had 15 points and 12 rebounds, but the Minnesota State women’s basketball team lost 77-64 to Sioux Falls in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game Saturday.

Sioux Falls (5-4, 2-3 in Northern Sun) made 13 of 21 from 3-point range, while the Mavericks went 3 of 17.

Aubrey Davis finished with 12 points, and Jamelia Hudnell contributed 11 points. The double-double was the fourth of the season for Wilkinson, this week’s Northern Sun player of the week.

The Mavericks shot 34.4 percent and were outrebounded by six. Minnesota State made only 17 of 29 free throws.

The Mavericks (7-1, 4-1 in Northern Sun)  host Dakota State University in a non-conference game Dec. 19 at Bresnan Arena
