Hall, Ratajczak lead MoonDogs to victory

WILLMAR — Zach Hall pitched a four-hitter through seven innings Tuesday, leading the Mankato MoonDogs to an 8-2 Northwoods League baseball victory over Willmar.

Hall did not allow an earned run as he walked one and struck out five to get the win. Trevor Belick pitched the final two frames, allowing no runs on three hits and fanning three.

Nick Ratajczak led the Mankato attack, going 3 for 4 with a double, an RBI and four runs scored. Chase Simpson added two hits with a double. Chase Fowler, Chad Christensen, J.M. Twitchell and Craig Massoni each drove in a run.

Anthony Consiglio took the loss, allowing four runs on five hits in the first five innings.

The ’Dogs have a rare off day today before taking on the Waterloo Bucks in Iowa at 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
