Lexvold leads MSU wrestlers at Reno tourney

RENO, NEV — Sophomore Drew Lexvold delivered a 3-2 record at 141 pounds to lead a 10-man contingent of Minnesota State wrestlers at Sunday’s Reno Tournament of Champions.

Freshman Alphonso Vruno (133) and freshman Thomas Allen (149) both went 2-2. Cody Quinn went 1-2 at 165 pounds. None of the Mavericks’ other entrants — David Demo (125), Sawyer Hoffman (157), Alex Folk (157), Nathan Haynes (197) and Corby Running (285) — picked up a win.

MSU is off until Jan. 12-13 when it competes in the NWCA National Duals in Springfield, Ill.
