Gustavus women slip past St. Ben's 1-0

ST. CLOUD — Carolyn Draayer scored the game’s only goal as Gustavus Adolphus edged St. Benedict 1-0 Friday in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s hockey game at Dave Torrey Arena.

Draayer’s score came at 13:58 of the second period with assists from Jenna Christensen and Kelsey Kennedy.

The Gusties dominated from start to finish, putting 46 shots on goal to St. Benedict’s 7. Lindsey Hibbard earned the shutout. Kaitlyn Rolando stopped 45 of 46 shots in the losing effort.

St. Ben’s falls to 5-12-4 ad 3-12-1 in the MIAC. Gustavus improves to 23-0-1 and 17-0 in the MIAC.
