Loyola boys fall to FBA in overtime

FARIBAULT — Down 70-68 in overtime, Kyle Filzen nailed a 3-point shot from 25 feet out as Faribault Bethlehem Academy defeated Mankato Loyola 71-70 nonconference boys basketball Tuesday.

The Cardinals were down 42-39 at halftime, before coming back to tie the score 63-63 at the end of regulation.

Adam Clark had 14 points for the Cardinals and Mark Mahowald scored 13.

Carson Seifert led the Crusaders with 29 points, Connor Tanhoff scored 14 and Alex Pimentel scored 10.

On Thursday, Loyola (11-13) travels to Janesville to take on Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton.
