Gustavus notes: The Gusties (1-1, 0-1 in MIAC) will try to bounce back from last week’s last-play loss at home to Augsburg. ... Gustavus leads the series 34-24 but have lost nine straight to the Oles. ... Running back Jeffrey Dubose averages 94.5 yards rushing, which ranks fourth in the MIAC. ... Quarterback Muresuk Mena is averaging 273.5 total yards. ... Jordan Rudenick leads the MIAC in punting with a 48.1-yard average. .... The Gusties have forced nine turnovers in two games after forcing 12 all of last season.

St. Olaf notes: St. Olaf is 2-1, 0-1 in MIAC after last week’s 28-14 loss to Concordia. ... Seniors Dan and Ben Dobson are Mankato West grads. Dan Dobson is the starting quarterback, while younger brother Ben is the starting safety. Dan Dobson, who accounted for five touchdowns in last season’s game against Gustavus, is throwing for 203 yards per game. Ben Dobson is third on the team with 25 tackles, and he has one fumble recovery and one interception. ... Running back Michael Thai has 226 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. ... The Oles are 6 of 6 on red-zone scoring chances with five touchdowns.
