SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Jerry Olszewski, a former Minnesota State assistant football coach and Mankato Family YMCA CEO, will be named the head foootball coach at Augustana College today, sources close to Olszewski said.

Olszewski has been the head coach at St. Olaf the last five seasons, leading the Oles to a 32-17 record over that span.

Prior to going to St. Olaf, he was the defensive coordinator at his alma mater, Wisconsin-Stevens Point, for two seasons.

He spent seven seasons as an assistant coach at MSU over two stints, 1993-96 and 1999-2000, before running the Y for three years.
