West girls beat Austin 60-45

AUSTIN — Cara Christiansen and Lexi Shoper combined for 43 points on Friday, leading Mankato West to a 60-45 win over Austin in Big Nine Conference girls basketball.

Christiansen was a perfect 12 of 12 from the free-throw line and finished with a game-high 22 points. She also had nine rebounds.

Shoper had 21 points, five rebounds and three steals. Teammate Sarah Buryska had 10 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.

West (7-13, 6-10 in Big Nine) hosts Albert Lea Tuesday.
