NORTH MANKATO —
The 10-Under Mankato Peppers Blue girls fastpitch team recently took first place in the NAFA (North American Fastpitch Association) Nationals Tournament.
The tournament was held in White Bear Lake and the Peppers went undefeated in the competition. They allowed just six runs the entire weekend.
Their opponents were Chaska, Stillwater, Anoka Ramsey, Edina, and Soderville (twice). The Peppers defeated Soderville 6-5 in the championship game.
The national championship leaves the Peppers with a final season record of 37-4-1.
