MANKATO — Music, food and a program featuring the Veteran's Color Guard highlighted Red Hot Boom, a fundraiser put together by Radio Mankato Stations, Brenna Construction, Community Bank, C&S Supply, the Greater Mankato Veteran's Group and the Cities of Mankato and North Mankato.
The event raised money for the Mankato area's July 4th fireworks display and for The Veteran's Memorial Place, a memorial being built at the foot of the Veteran's Memorial Bridge.
